Who it's for

Patients with varicose veins, lymphedema, DVT history, pregnancy-related swelling, long-haul travel needs, or anyone on their feet all day.

What’s included

  • Professional fitting by a trained staff member — ankle and calf measurements, length, and style matched to your needs.
  • Medical-grade compression (15–20, 20–30, and 30–40 mmHg) plus everyday support stockings.
  • Several established brands stocked, with more available by order.
  • Insurance documentation — receipts and product codes most plans need.
  • Care instructions — how to wash, when to replace.
  • Replacement reminders — we’ll text you when it’s time to come in for a new pair.

How it works

  1. Book a fitting — easiest in the morning, before any swelling builds up.
  2. Bring your prescription (for medical-grade compression) and your insurance card.
  3. 20-minute measurement in our private fitting area.
  4. We recommend the right size, length, and style based on your needs and insurance coverage.
  5. Take them home that day if we have your size in stock — otherwise we’ll order in and call you within a few days.

What it costs

Pricing varies by compression strength and brand — typically $40 to $120 per pair. Most extended health plans reimburse all or part of the cost. We’ll quote you the exact price and check your coverage before you commit.

Frequently asked

Common questions about specialized compression socks.

Do I need a prescription?
For medical-grade compression (typically 20–30 mmHg and up), yes — a prescription is needed for both fitting accuracy and insurance reimbursement. We can also stock lighter compression (8–15 mmHg, 15–20 mmHg) for general use without a prescription.
Why does the fitting matter?
Compression that's too tight or the wrong length doesn't work — and can be uncomfortable enough that you'll stop wearing it. A proper fitting measures ankle and calf circumference and matches you to the right size, length, and style.
Will my insurance cover them?
Many private drug and extended health plans cover compression stockings, often once or twice per year per limb. We'll provide the documentation your plan needs and check coverage in advance if you give us your insurance details.
What brands do you carry?
We stock several recognized medical-grade brands and can order in alternatives. Ask at the fitting — we'll recommend based on your activity level, skin sensitivity, and what your insurance covers.
How long does a fitting take?
About 20 minutes. Best done in the morning before any swelling has set in — that's when measurements are most accurate.
How long do they last?
Properly cared for, medical-grade compression stockings last 4–6 months of daily wear before they lose enough elasticity to be replaced. Most plans cover replacement on that cycle.
How do I wash and care for them?
Hand wash or gentle machine wash in cold water, air dry. No fabric softener (it breaks down the elastic). We'll send you home with a printed care card.
